What’s So Special About 5th October?

World Teacher’s Day

World Teachers’ Day has been celebrated on October 5th every year since 1994. UNESCO and ILO team up to celebrate the teachers who inspire youth all over the world. It is an occasion to celebrate the essential role of teachers in providing quality education at all levels. Teachers make a large impact on our lives. They offer support, encourage learning, and foster growth. They have the unique responsibility to make a difference in our youth and our community; they aren’t just teachers, they’re life mentors and coaches.

World Habitat Day

The United Nations in its Resolution 40/202 of 17 December 1985, it designated the first Monday of October of every year as World Habitat Day with the objective to reflect on the state of our cities and towns and the basic human right to adequate shelter. And also to remind the world of its collective responsibility for the habitat of future generations.
