Gordon Ramsay (1966-)

Gordon Ramsay is a British chef whose restaurants have been awarded 16 Michelin stars in total. Though a young Gordon had aspirations of becoming a football player, an injury ended his hopes of establishing a promising career in football. He then went back to college to complete a course in hotel management and trained with some of the world’s leading chefs, such as Albert Roux and Marco Pierre White in London, and Guy Savoy and Joël Robuchon in France. He became the head chef of ‘Aubergine,’ which was awarded two Michelin stars within three years. He set up his own restaurant ‘Restaurant Gordon Ramsay,’ which quickly received the most prestigious accolade in the culinary world – three Michelin stars.

Aaron Swartz (1986-2013)

Aaron Hillel Swartz was an American computer programmer and entrepreneur who was one of the developers of several ground-breaking projects, including the web feed format RSS, the publishing format Markdown, and the website framework web.py, as well as one of the co-founders of the social news site Reddit. Furthermore, he received the title of co-founder of Not A Bug, Inc., after it was formed in 2005. He was also a renowned author, political organiser, and hacktivist, focusing much of his work on civil awareness and effective online activism. Swartz was arrested in 2011 and charged with state breaking-and-entering after he downloaded academic journal articles from JSTOR while using his MIT guest user account.

Tara Reid (1975-)

Tara Reid started with commercials as a child and finally made heads turn when she appeared on ‘Saved by the Bell: The New Class’. Although her acting abilities have been under the scanner, she has, without doubt, pulled off the roles she has played, with élan. She eventually got a big break as ‘Bunny’ in ‘The Big Lebowski’. The movie proved to be a stepping stone in her career and she began to get better offers with films like ‘Urban Legend’ and ‘Cruel Intentions’. However, it was ‘American Pie’, the cult movie about teenagers and sexual encounters that put Reid as a promising face in Hollywood with her role as the virgin, ‘Vicky’.

L. K. Advani (1927-)

Lal Krishna Advani is an Indian politician and one of the founding members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has been the leader of the opposition twice in the Lok Sabha and has also served as the deputy Prime Minister of the country. Renowned for being a principled man with great intellectual capabilities, he is also called the “Iron Man” for embodying the ideals Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel stood for. He is also credited with the rise of BJP, a party he served for several decades with relentless passion and dedication. A patriot to the core, he always envisioned an idea of a strong and prosperous India and held steadfastly to his ideals.

Parker Posey (1968-)

Parker Posey is an acclaimed American actress who has appeared in dozens of films over the course of her career, besides her appearances on television. She is well-known for her roles in the sitcoms. She is adept at playing the mandolin and she has also sung with aplomb, with her ex-boyfriend, Ryan Adams, in a number of albums. During the initial phase of her life, she wanted to become a professional ballet dancer but when she was declined a dance program at the North Carolina School of the Arts, she opted for an acting career at the behest of a faculty member at the North Carolina School of the Arts. Though she has appeared in a number of lead roles, she has evinced equal interest in playing supportive roles too.

David Muir (1973-)

David Muir is an American journalist and anchor, best known for his ABC news program, ‘World News Tonight with David Muir’, as well as for the ABC News magazine ’20/20′, for which he serves as a co-anchor. His show, with its dramatic video footage, celebrity gossip and his animated gestures, has become the most watched newscast in America. He is also known for his Emmy-nominated series ‘Made In America’. Prior to taking over ‘ABC World News Tonight’, he was the main substitute anchor for his predecessor Diane Sawyer. He has reported numerous primetime specials for ABC News, some recent ones being ‘Breaking Point: Heroin in America’ and ‘Flashpoint: Refugees in America’.

Bram Stoker (1847-1912)

Bram Stoker was an Irish novelist, who created the character Dracula with his Gothic novel of the same name. His science fiction writings reflected this interest in varied subjects. He supported the Liberal Party of Ireland and took keen interest in the Irish affairs. He believed in the Home rule of Ireland brought about by peaceful means. Being an ardent monarchist, he believed that Ireland should remain within the British Empire and that it was good for Ireland’s development. His fictitious character of Dracula, the vampire, has continued to garner fame and inspire many films, theatricals and other literary creations, for more than a century. He was a fan of the Romantic Movement and was a friend of Oscar Wilde.
