Bruce Lee (1940-1973)

Joe Lewis quote, “If Bruce Lee wasn’t the greatest martial artist of all time, then certainly he is the number one candidate” suffices Bruce Lee’s contribution as a martial artist to the world. A film actor and instructor of the combat practices, he gained a worldwide status in a short span of life and soon became one of the most influential martial artists of all time. Born in an affluent family, Lee gained entry into films long before he realized the same and soon became a famous child actor. Acting and martial arts went hand in hand as he turned to a martial art instructor. However, it was his relocation to Hong Kong and association with films that elevated the popularity of both him as an actor and martial arts as a combat practice.

Jimi Hendrix (1942-1970)

Jimi Hendrix is considered as one of the greatest electric guitarists that the music world has ever witnessed. He composed music combining different genres of hard rock, jazz and blues into soulful unforgettable renditions. His style of music has been a source of inspiration for many budding musicians. He started his musical career by forming his first band The Jimmy Hendrix Experience where he played the guitar and also sang as the lead vocalist. His first single “Hey, Joe” took the world by storm. He made headlines after his iconic performance in 1969 in the Woodstock Festival and the Isle of Wight Festival in the 1970s. His second album was Axis: Bold as Love released in 1968 and his final album Electric Ladyland was also released in the same year.

Steve Bannon (1953-)

Steve Bannon is an American political strategist, filmmaker, media executive, and former investment banker, best known for his stint as the ‘White House’ chief strategist during the first 7 months of President Donald Trump’s tenure. Born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, he graduated from the ‘Benedictine College Preparatory School.’ He later studied urban planning from the ‘Virginia Tech College of Architecture and Urban Studies.’ He served in the navy, and after his discharge from the forces, he joined ‘Harvard Business School’ and completed his MBA. He then began working as an investment banker, and in the 1990s, he moved to Hollywood and worked as an executive producer for several films and documentaries.

Suresh Raina (1986-)

Suresh Raina is an Indian professional cricketer who has a proved himself an invaluable player in limited-over formats of the game. He was a member of the Indian Premiere League (IPL) team Gujarat Lions. Currently, he plays for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and has previously played for Chennai Super Kings for eight seasons. He has never missed a match for his original IPL team, CSK. He is exceptionally talented in T20 matches, which he has proved through his remarkable consistency in the IPL, scoring the most runs in the history of the competition. As a result, he is often called to strengthen the Indian T20 side even if he is out of the ODI or Test teams.

Caroline Kennedy (1957-)

Caroline Kennedy is an American attorney, writer, editor, and diplomat. She is the only surviving child of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy and former First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. She also served as the U.S. Ambassador to Japan from 2013 to 2017. At the young age of three, Caroline moved into the White House when her father was sworn in as the 35th President of the United States. However, shortly before her sixth birthday, her father was assassinated and soon after, the rest of the family moved to Manhattan, where she attended private schools. After graduating from Radcliffe College she worked at Manhattan’s Metropolitan Museum of Art as a research assistant. She also graduated from the Columbia Law School.

Robin Givens (1964-)

Robin Givens is an American actress and model. She commenced acting after graduating from Sarah Lawrence College. Her big break came when she portrayed the character of Darlene Merriman in the ABC sitcom series ‘Head of the Class’. She garnered widespread recognition portraying the character in all five seasons of the show. She also starred in short-lived sitcom series ‘Sparks’; miniseries ‘The Women of Brewster Place’; and television films like ‘Beverly Hills Madam’ and ‘A Face to Die For’. She played recurring roles in TV shows like ‘The Game’ and ‘Chuck’, and since 2017, features in recurring role of Mayor Sierra McCoy in the TV series ‘Riverdale’.

Bill Nye (1955-)

Bill Nye is an American television presenter, science communicator, and entertainer. Popularly known as ‘Bill Nye the Science Guy,’ he was born and brought up in Washington D.C. His interest in science was initiated by his father who was a sundial enthusiast. Bill graduated from the ‘Cornell University’ with a mechanical engineering degree and began his engineering career at ‘Boeing Corporation’ in Seattle where he created a hydraulic resonance suppressor tube used on ‘Boeing 747’ airplanes. A big fan of raising awareness of science-related topics through entertainment, Bill began his entertainment career with small gigs at comedy theatres.
