Kamala Harris (1964-)

Kamala Devi Harris is an American attorney cum politician who has been picked by Joe Biden as his running mate for the 2020 U.S presidential election. She is the first African American and the first Asian American to be chosen as the vice-presidential candidate of a major party. Kamala Harris has been serving as the junior US Senator from California since 2017. She serves on the Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee, the Committee on the Judiciary, the Committee on the Budget, and the Select Committee on Intelligence. An associate of the Democratic Party, she is the first South Asian-American woman and the second African-American woman to serve as a USA senator in the nation’s entire history.

Snoop Dogg  (1971-)

Calvin Broadus, famously known by his stage name ‘Snoop Dogg’, is an American rapper and actor who became one of the best-known figures in gangsta rap during the 1990s. Although he has received much recognition as a singer, Snoop has also appeared in numerous films and television dramas throughout his career. Born in the United States, he enjoyed singing and rapping from a young age but was jailed several times as a teenager in cases of drug possession before he decided to pursue a career in hip-hop seriously.

 

 

John Krasinski (1979-)

Known for his debonair good looks and boyish charm, John Krasinski is one of the most ‘popular’ television stars of today. He has appeared in a number of films including ‘Away We Go’, ‘License to Wed’, ‘Something Borrowed’ and ‘It’s Complicated’, but is best known for portraying the character of ‘Jim Halpert’ in the popular American sitcom, ‘The Office’. He started laying the foundation for a livelihood in the entertainment industry by attending National Theater Institute and The Royal Shakespeare Company, which helped him garner a few commercials in New York and a few off-Broadway plays.

 

Viggo Mortensen (1958-)

Viggo Peter Mortensen is a Danish-American actor, producer, and musician. Following his first film appearance in Peter Weir’s 1985 thriller ‘Witness,’ he has appeared in many other well-known films, including ‘The Indian Runner,’ ‘Carlito’s Way,’ ‘Crimson Tide,’ ‘Daylight,’ and ‘28 Days.’ He received international recognition with his role as Aragorn in the epic film trilogy ‘The Lord of the Rings.’ His performance in ‘Eastern Promises’ earned him a nomination for the ‘Academy Award’ for ‘Best Actor.’ His role in ‘A Dangerous Method’ earned him a nomination for the ‘Golden Globe Award’ for ‘Best Supporting Actor.’

 

Hunter King (1993-)

Hunter King is an American actress who is popularly known for playing the character of ‘Adriana Masters’ in the family drama TV series ‘Hollywood Heights’. After starting her career as “Haley King,” she later changed her stage name to Hunter King. Interested in acting from an early age, she began her career by appearing in a few theatrical productions. After a period of time, she began taking up minor and guest roles in TV programs. King first appeared in the soap opera ‘The Young and the Restless’ in the recurring role of ‘Summer Newman’ but later became a regular in the show.

 

Danny Boyle (1956-)

Danny Boyle is an award-winning English director, producer, and screenwriter. His film career is studded with several awards, including a BAFTA for his directorial debut. His most successful film, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, has won eight Academy Awards. Boyle started his career in direction with theatre, working as an artistic director for many companies before turning to television. He had a brief but successful stint with the BBC where he directed a few popular shows and dabbled in feature films. His first film ‘Shallow Grave’ was a commercial hit and also earned him a BAFTA. However, his journey wasn’t a smooth one as there were a couple of flops.
