Rachel McAdams (1978-)

Stunningly pretty and talented, Rachel McAdams is an actress who is best known for her roles in ‘Mean Girls’, ‘The Notebook’, and ‘Wedding Crashers’. As a young girl she discovered her love for skating. She was just four when she began competitive figure skating and had won several awards by the time she was a teenager. She was bitten by the acting bug too when she was a preteen. After watching a theater performance by children she announced to her parents that she wanted to act. She became deeply involved in drama as a high school student and began directing children’s theatrical production even before she was 20. After beginning her acting career in Canada, she moved to the U.S. in search of better opportunities.

Martin Scorsese (1942-)

Martin Scorsese is an acclaimed Italian-American director and writer whose films like ‘Mean Streets’ and ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ have shaped the history of American cinema. This legendary director is known for his steely, often violent and painstaking filmmaking style and is widely considered one of the most prominent directors of all time. Having spent more than half a century behind the camera, Martin has made a string of breathtaking films, such as ‘Goodfellas,’ ‘The Last Waltz,’ ‘The King of Comedy,’ ‘Taxi Driver,’ ‘Raging Bull,’ and ‘The Departed.’ He has also written screenplays for a number of movies. He is the founder and honorable president of ‘The Film Foundation.’

Leslie Bibb (1974-)

Leslie Bibb is an American actress and model best known for her roles in the TV series ‘Popular’ and ‘The Big Easy’. She is also known for appearing in the movies ‘Iron Man’, ‘Private Parts’ and ‘Talladega Nights’. As a model, Bibb’s photographs have appeared in numerous high end magazines, including Maxim and FHM. She got her start in the entertainment field in 1990 when the Elite Agency and ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ conducted a nationwide search for prospective models. She was eventually selected as the winner and she went on to sign a contract with Elite. She is a graduate of the all-girl Saint Gertrude High School and has also attended classes at the William Esper acting studio.

Rock Hudson (1925-1985)

Rock Hudson was a prominent American actor of the Hollywood Golden Age, the quintessential ‘heartthrob’ of the 1950s and 1960s. Tall, well-built, and strikingly handsome, he rose to fame with his leading roles in films like ‘Magnificent Obsession’ and ‘All That Heaven Allows.’ In a career spanning over four decades, he starred in around 70 films and appeared in several television productions. Growing up during the Great Depression, he did odd jobs as a school boy. He became interested in acting at a young age, but was seldom selected for school plays due to his shyness and inability to remember his lines. He graduated from high school during the World War II and joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Philippines.

Jeff Buckley (1966-1997)

Jeffrey Scott “Jeff” Buckley was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who tragically garnered most of his fame posthumously. The son of American music legend Tim Buckley, Jeff grew up in a musical environment, singing around the house and in harmony with his mother. He decided to become a musician when he was 12 years old. After completing his education, he worked in a hotel for the next six years and served as a guitarist in numerous struggling bands. He spent almost a decade as a session artist in Los Angeles and later accumulated a relatively large and loyal fanbase, covering various songs at venues in Manhattan’s East Village.

Gordon Lightfoot (1938-)

Gordon Lightfoot is a renowned Canadian singer and songwriter who has made his name in the genres of folk, folk-rock and country music. He has been in the music industry for over five and is considered among the most important artists in Canada. Gordon’s talent was recognized at an early age and he was constantly a part of his school and church choir. He went on to join several groups before starting to write his own songs. His career as a songwriter took off with famous artists covering his material. Thereafter he signed a deal with United Artists and produced many albums under them; later on he was associated with Warner Bros. Records, under which he had immense success and fame.

RuPaul (1960-)

RuPaul Charles is perhaps the most famous drag queen in the US. Known for his cross-dressing personality, RuPaul has been in the entertainment industry since the 1980s. He is an actor, producer, model, singer, songwriter, and author. He is most famous for hosting the reality competition show ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race,’ which is still going strong and has welcomed various spin-offs, such as ‘RuPaul’s Drag U’ and ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars.’ He has won two ‘Emmy Awards’ for the show in 2016 and 2017. He also hosted ‘The RuPaul Show’ on ‘Vh1.’ The show ran for more than a hundred episodes. He has interviewed celebrity guests such as Diana Ross, Mary J. Blige, Bea Arthur, and the ‘Backstreet Boys.’
