Don Johnson (1949-)

Donnie Wayne Johnson, popularly known as Don, is an American actor, producer, director, singer, and songwriter. Initially, he wanted to become a professional bowler. However, he began to take interest in acting after becoming involved in his school theatre programs. After graduation, he studied drama at ‘American Conservatory Theatre’ in San Francisco. Although he got his first major role at the age of 20, it took him some time to establish himself as a star. His fortune changed for the better when he got an opportunity to play the role of ‘Sonny Crockett’ in the popular television series ‘Miami Vice.’ He then became a star overnight. Once the series ended, he was invited to play the lead role in many well-known films and television serials. Till date, he has more than 90 film and TV titles to his credit. Over the years, he has also released three music albums, which have been well-received by music lovers. Despite having a successful career, Don has had his share of problems. In 2008, he almost lost his Colorado ranch because of his $14.5 million debt. His personal life too has been marred with divorces and separations.

Maude Apatow (1997-)

Maude Apatow is a young American actress known for her roles in the movies ‘Knocked Up’ and ‘Funny People.’ She is the daughter of Judd Apatow, an American producer, director, and comedian, and his wife, actress Leslie Mann. Born in Los Banos, California, in the US, she made her film debut in the romantic comedy film ‘Knocked Up’, which was written, produced, and directed by her father. She played a supporting character named Sadie. The film was a huge success, grossing nearly seven times its budget and also received critical acclaim. She next appeared in the comedy-drama film ‘Funny People’ which was also produced and directed by her father Judd Apatow. She played a supporting character named Mable. Though the film was met with positive reviews, it was a commercial failure, unlike her first film. She was latest seen in the American drama film ‘The House of Tomorrow’. Directed by Peter Livolsi, the film was based on a novel of the same name, written by Peter Bognanni. With a huge Twitter fan base, she can be considered one of the most talented and popular upcoming actresses in Hollywood.

Jesse Lingard (1992-)

Jesse Lingard is an English professional footballer who plays as a star attacking midfielder for ‘Manchester United’ and for the English national football team. Born and raised in Cheshire, Jesse joined the youth academy of ‘Manchester United’ at the age of 7. Since then, he has remained a key player in many of their youth teams. His performance was one of the highlights in ‘Manchester United’s victory in the 2010–2011 ‘FA Youth Cup final, following which he was offered an official contract with the team. In November 2012, Jesse was loaned to ‘Leicester’ for a month. In the following few years, his average performance made him anxious, and he faced the danger of being loaned to other teams. He was determined to make it to ‘Manchester United’s first team, and in 2015, he was finally included in the club’s senior team. In April 2017, ‘Manchester United’ offered Jesse a contract for four years with an open window to extend it for another year. He had been part of the national ‘Under-17’ and ‘Under-21’ teams before joining the senior team in 2015.

Shefali Jariwala (1980-)

Shefali Jariwala is an Indian actor and TV personality who rose to fame instantly by appearing in the music video of the song ‘Kaanta Laga.’ She was an engineering student back when the video had released. However, she chose to enter the glamor world later, instead of making a career in the IT field. Shefali has appeared in several music videos since then. However, she could not recreate the same fame again. She appeared in a couple of Hindi movies, web series, and a Kannada film, too, but she mostly went unnoticed. Shefali made her screen presence felt again when she participated in the dance reality competition ‘Nach Baliye 5,’ with her husband. She recently appeared in the thirteenth season of the Indian version of ‘Big Brother,’ ‘Bigg Boss.’ Shefali is now married to actor Parag Tyagi.

Geeta Phogat (1988-)

Geeta Phogat (born 15 December 1988) is a freestyle wrestler who won India’s first-ever gold medal in wrestling at the Commonwealth Games in 2010. She is also the first Indian female wrestler to have qualified for the Olympic Summer Games. Phogat was born in Balali village of Charkhi Dadri district, Haryana. Her father Mahavir Singh Phogat, a former wrestler himself and a Dronacharya Award recipient, is also her coach. Her sister Babita Kumari and cousin Vinesh Phogat are also Commonwealth Games gold medalists. Both won gold medals in their respective categories in the 2014 edition of the Commonwealth Games. Another younger sister of Geeta Phogat, Ritu Phogat, too is an international level wrestler and has won a gold medal at the 2016 Commonwealth Wrestling Championship. Her youngest sister, Sangita Phogat is also a wrestler. She married fellow wrestler Pawan Kumar on 20 November 2016. The couple had their first child, a boy, in December 2019.

Keylor Navas (1986-)

Keylor Navas is an acclaimed professional footballer from Costa Rica. He is a goalkeeper and currently represents the national squad of Costa Rica and the celebrated Spanish football club Real Madrid. Keylor kicked off his professional career with the Costa Rican club Deportivo Saprissa. He represented the club for two seasons following which he was contracted by the Spanish club Albacete Balompie. His impressive performance enabled him to graduate to the Primera Division, popularly called ‘La Liga’—the 1st division association football system in Spain. He played his debut La Liga match for Levante UD against Athletic Bilbao. After playing for Levante UD in two successive seasons, he signed up to represent Real Madrid. He found a place in the Costa Rican youth football squad when the Central American nation qualified for the 2003 FIFA U-17 World Championship organized in Finland. He was included in the Costa Rica men’s national team for the first time when he was 20, for playing friendlies in Europe. He has represented Costa Rica at two CONCACAF Gold Cups and the 2014 World Cup.
