Giannis Antetokounmpo (1994-)
Giannis Antetokounmpo, nicknamed the ‘Greek Freak’, is a Greek basketball playe,r who also represents the NBA basketball team, ‘Milwaukee Bucks’. He started his professional career by signing up to play for the junior squad of the Filathlitikos B.C., a Greek professional basketball club. Soon after, he became a member of Filathlitikos’s senior squad. Antetokounmpo excelled in all departments of the sport, including rebounds, assists, and blocks. His unusual and extraordinary sporting skills attracted the attention of topnotch clubs in Europe. ‘CAI Zaragoza’, a Spanish club, contracted him for 4 years at € 4, 00,000 per year.
Andrew Cuomo (1957-)
Andrew Cuomo is the current governor of New York. Apart from being a politician, Andrew is also a lawyer and an author. He started his political career as the campaign manager for his father, Mario Cuomo, in 1982. He also worked as his father’s top policy advisor before turning toward law. He then worked as an assistant attorney in New York. His efforts in providing help to the less privileged led to his appointment as the chairperson of the ‘New York City Homeless Commission’ in 1990. He also worked as the assistant secretary for ‘Community Planning and Development’ in 1993, during Bill Clinton’s tenure. In 1997, he was elected as the ‘US Secretary of Housing and Urban Development,’ a post he retained till 2001.
Yoshihide Suga (1948-)
Yoshihide Suga is the current Prime Minister of Japan. He assumed the charge on 16 September 2016, after former Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, resigned on health grounds. Suga currently serves as president of the Liberal Democratic Party. He has a long political history and was previously the Chief Cabinet Secretary under Abe. He also served as the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications in the mid-2000s. Unlike most officeholders in Japanese history who hail from prominent political families, he was born in a family of humble origin. He was ambitious from a young age and left his native village to move to Tokyo to pursue his dreams.
