Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890-1969)

Dwight D. Eisenhower was the 34th president of the United States, who reduced Cold War tensions and is known for his ‘Atoms for Peace initiative’. Before becoming the president, he was a five-star general in the United States Army and played a pivotal role in the World War II. Eisenhower served as Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe, and successfully planned the invasion of North Africa in Operation Torch in 1942–43 and the invasion of France and Germany in 1944–45. Belonging to Pennsylvania Dutch ancestry, Eisenhower was born in a religious family in Kansas.

Roger Moore (1927-2017)

Sir Roger George Moore was an English actor, best known for playing British secret agent ‘James Bond’ in seven feature films. He was the longest-serving ‘Bond’ in the history of ‘James Bond’ movies as he portrayed ‘James Bond’ from 1973 to 1985. Roger Moore started his career with ‘Royal Academy of Dramatic Art’ in England and appeared in small-time roles in movies. He had to take a break from acting as he was conscripted for national service shortly after the end of the ‘Second World War.’ He returned to pursue a career in entertainment and started his modeling career, which helped him land supporting roles in some high budget movies.

Akbar (1542-1605)

Akbar was one of the most powerful emperors of the Mughal Dynasty. He was a great Muslim ruler who built a large empire expanding over most of the Indian subcontinent. Right from the age of 13, when he took over the reins of the Mughal Empire, he conquered and subjugated territories and states in the northern, western, and eastern regions, especially Punjab, Delhi, Agra, Rajputana, Gujarat, Bengal, Kabul, Kandahar, and Baluchistan. His conquers brought most of India under his control. Despite being illiterate, he possessed exceptional knowledge in almost all subjects. He earned respect from his non-Muslim subjects, mainly due to his adoption of policies that created a peaceful atmosphere in his diverse empire.

Parmeet Sethi (1961-)

Parmeet Sethi is an Indian television and movie actor born who catapulted to fame with his portrayal of ‘Kuljeet’ in 1995 blockbuster movie ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. His television career also picked up almost at the same time with the serial ‘Dastaan’. He further worked in a number of television serials and movies and played both positive and negative characters. Around a decade back, he also took a plunge into direction and screenplay writing with the movie, ‘Badmaash Company’. On personal front, he is married to a popular actress, Archana Puran Singh and has two sons from the union.

Lori Petty (1963-)

Lori Petty is an American TV and film actress, best known for her films ‘Point Break’ and ‘A League of Their Own.’ Recently, she was lauded for her appearances in the series ‘Orange Is the New Black’ and ‘Prison Break.’ She started her career as a graphic designer and made her acting debut with the 1986 TV series ‘The Twilight Zone’ and the 1988 short film ‘…They Haven’t Seen This…’ She then did small roles in a number of TV shows and films, such as ‘The Line,’ ‘Head of the Class,’ and ‘Alien Nation.’ She shot to national fame with the TV series ‘Booker’ and followed it up with a major stint in the 1991 thriller ‘Point Break.’

Harry Anderson (1952-)

Harry Anderson was an American actor and magician best known for playing Judge Harry Stone in the famous TV series, ‘Night Court.’ He became extremely popular after appearing in the famous late-night variety show ‘Saturday Night Live’ on eight occasions from 1981 to 1985. He hosted several comedy shows including ‘Harry Anderson’s Sideshow,’ which had elements of magic. He also appeared in a couple of films, such as ‘The Escape Artist’ and ‘A Matter of Faith.’ Anderson was nominated at the prestigious ‘Primetime Emmy Awards’ for three consecutive years, thanks to his outstanding performance in ‘Night Court.’
