Gerard Butler (1969-)

Gerard Butler is a Scottish actor and film producer. He dedicated seven years of his life studying law, before choosing to become an actor. Butler was passionate about movies from his younger days, and was an enthusiastic moviegoer. He was also a member of the ‘Scottish Youth Theatre.’ After graduating in law, he was not sure about pursuing a career in law. Thus, he relocated to London to pursue his dream of becoming famous. He made his stage appearance in the Shakespeare tragedy ‘Coriolanus,’ while hunting for movie roles. He became popular after playing the role of ‘The Phantom’ in the Academy Award-nominated film ‘The Phantom of the Opera.’ His popularity increased when he played ‘King Leonidas of Sparta’ in the fantasy war film ‘300.’

She created history by becoming the first African-American woman to win the Academy Award for best supporting actress in nearly 50 years. Furthermore, she is only the second African-American actress to win an Academy Award for acting.

Jean Seberg (1938-1979)

Jean Dorothy Seberg was an American actress best known for her performance in films, such as ‘Breathless’, ‘Paint Your Wagon’, and ‘Gang War in Naples’. Born in Marshalltown, Iowa, US, she began her film career when she was nineteen. Her first role was in the British American film ‘Saint Joan’. The film was an adaptation of Bernard Shaw’s play of the same name, based on the life of the famous French warrior Joan of Arc. Seberg portrayed the title role of Joan. The film received a lot of criticism due to historical inaccuraracies. Over the next few years, she appeared in films such as ‘Breathless’ and ‘In the French Style’. She played the lead role in the film ‘Moment to Moment’, where she portrayed an adulterous married woman.

Quick-witted, amusing and down to earth, Jimmy Kimmel is one of the wealthiest and most successful American talk show hosts. With an estimated net worth of $35 million, he earns an aggregate of $8 million a year for his talk-show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ alone. He started out as a radio jockey and appeared as the popular ‘Jimmy the Sports Guy’ in the Los Angles based radio show ‘The Kevin and Bean Show’. Soon after, he bagged the Daytime Emmy Award for his sharp-edged humour as the co-host of the game show ‘Win Ben Stein’s Money’. He reached the highpoint of his career and achieved great success in the field of late-night talk shows with his hit show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

Moon Chae-won is a popular South Korean actress, who made her acting debut in television drama ‘Mackerel Run’ in 2007. Her breakout role came in 2008 drama, ‘Painter of the Wind’. The movie was a departure in its theme due to its homoerotic connotation. The movie was well received by the industry, and its two actresses even won the ‘Best Couple’ award at the ‘2008 SBS Drama Awards’—something that had happened first time in the history of Korean drama.
