Edward VII (1841-1910)

Edward VII served as the emperor of India and king of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 1901 to 1910. Eldest son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, Edward was the longest-serving heir apparent to the British throne before his accession in 1901. Furthermore, he held the record for the longest serving holder of the title ‘Prince of Wales’ until his great-great-grandson Charles became the longest title holder on 9 September 2017. Edward became popular even before his term of reign, albeit for wrong reasons. Highly self-indulgent, Edward was known as a womanizer and casanova. His reputation soured his relationship with his mother, Queen Victoria, who forbade him from pursuing political duties during her term.

Hedy Lamarr (1914-2000)

Hedy Lamarr was an Austrian-American actress and inventor who co-invented the technology for spread spectrum. A very famous actress of her time, she is credited to be one of the most beautiful women to have ever graced the silver screen. Fascinated by cinema from childhood, she decided early on to become an actress and began her acting career as a teenager after being discovered by a film producer. An Austrian by birth, she eventually moved to America after meeting MGM head Louis B. Mayer, who offered her a movie contract in Hollywood. A very glamorous and talented lady, she soon established herself as one of the most sought after actresses in Hollywood.

Carl Sagan (1934-1996)

Carl Edward Sagan was an American astronomer, cosmologist, astrophysicist, astro-biologist and author. He developed interest in astronomy quite early at the age of five he first learned that the sun was actually a star and all stars are as big as sun. Much later, while studying in Chicago University, he came to know that astronomers make good money. All along, he had been pursuing astronomy as a hobby; now he was glad to know that he could take it up as his profession. Thereafter, he earned his PhD in astrophysics and after a brief period of fellowship at University of California, he took up teaching position, first at Harvard University and then at Cornell.

Eric Dane (1972-)

Eric Dane is an American actor who rose to fame after starring in the famous television series ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’ The hunky actor, who became famous as Dr. Mark Sloan (Dr. McSteamy) in the series has also acted in several successful and multi-starrer films in his career. It was during his school days that Dane was bitten by the acting bug. Previously he had been more interested in water polo. He burst into Hollywood after acting in a TV movie named ‘Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story.’ It was a military movie with serious themes like homosexuality. While most of his fans are fond of watching him in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ as Dr. Mark Sloan, he had also donned the hat of a doctor in the ABC medical drama ‘Gideon’s Crossing’.

Spiro Agnew (1918-1996)

Spiro Agnew was an American politician who served as the 39th Vice President of the United States, from 1969 to 1973, in the Republican administration of President Richard Nixon. Born in Baltimore to Greek immigrants, Agnew, after getting educated in the local public schools, attended the Johns Hopkins University. Thereafter, he studied law and later graduated from the University of Baltimore Law School; during this time he also served in the U.S. Army during the Second World War. Then, he resumed his legal practice in Baltimore but was recalled for active duty during the Korean War and upon returning, Agnew gravitated into politics. He served as the county executive of Baltimore County and was later elected the Governor of Maryland.

Chris Jericho (1970-)

Christopher Keith Irvine is a Canadian-American professional wrestler, rock musician, actor, podcaster, entrepreneur, and author. He is more popularly known by his ring name Chris Jericho. The son of an ice-hockey player, Jericho has always implemented his inherent confrontational attitude in every facet of his life. His interest in professional wrestling was kindled rather early as he grew up attending the local AWA shows and watching wrestler Owen Hart on TV. Over the course of his 27-year career, he has wrestled for some of the top promotions in the world, including WWF/E, ECW, WCW, and NJPW, winning the WWF Championship once, the WCW/World Championship twice, and WWE’s World Heavyweight Championship three times.

Delta Goodrem (1984-)

Delta Goodrem is an Australian pop singer, songwriter, and actress. She ventured into the music industry at the age of 15 when she signed to Sony Music, and a few years later, released her debut album ‘Innocent Eyes’, which became one of the highest selling albums in Australian history. All its five singles peaked at No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. With that, a successful phase of her career started, and almost all her albums and major singles reached top positions on the charts of Australia. In acting, she rose to fame as a child actress in the Australian soap opera ‘Neighbours’ as Nina Tucker in 2002.
